From the outside, I had a good job and a pretty normal 9–5. But I always knew I wanted something different. I wanted more freedom, to build something of my own, and to create a life that felt more like me.
So I started taking Instagram more seriously. I filmed reels, spent hours editing them, and got excited to post them, only to see 300 or 400 views. And when that keeps happening, it’s hard not to question if you’re even doing the right thing.
I’d save content ideas, film things, and sometimes never post them because I overthought everything. Meanwhile, I was watching other girls build the kind of life I wanted for myself, wondering how they actually made it happen.
Looking back, I didn’t need to become someone else or completely change my content. I needed to understand how to position my personal brand, make it clear what I wanted to be known for, and create content with a purpose.
Since then, I’ve grown my Instagram, connected with agencies and brands, and built an online business that gives me more flexibility in how and where I work.
And honestly, if I could go back and tell myself one thing, it would be to stop overthinking every post and start learning how to make the most of what I already had. Because you don’t need to have it all figured out to start building something of your own. 💙
You can post every day and still have no clear direction. You can grow your following and still not know how to turn it into opportunities.
That’s why I believe your personal brand comes first. You need to know who you’re speaking to, what you bring to the table, and what you want to build.
Once those pieces are in place, you can create content with purpose, attract the right people, and explore ways to turn your online presence into income.
We decide who you’re for and what you want to be known for before you film anything else. It’s genuinely uncomfortable, because it means saying no to things you could easily post. It’s also the part that makes everything after it work.
